This is the only complete Kuwahara KZ1 BMX of its kind in South Africa and one of 150 framesets manufactured worldwide!! I built this bike from parts sourced globally. It is a rare collectors item which was one of the bikes on my wish list as a kid but was too expensive in the 80's for my parents to buy. Stanley Regular Font Free. ( around R500.00 in 1981).
It is listed in the BMX Museum in the USA ( link below) and is truely a beautiful bike. The parts are NOS and replica, painstakingly assembled and never riden as it is a show bike. I list the detail of the parts below and the price I paid for the parts excluding the shipping and customs costs.It cost more than R18000.00 to build, but was worth every cent.
